Valentine’s Day is all about “connection” especially that special connection we share with those we love. As you consider ways to celebrate, consider another connection…your connection with all of God’s creation.   Listed below are some “little daily actions” you can take to share a more meaningful and           sustainable Valentine’s Day with the one you love.

♥   Instead of gifting cut flowers, consider a potted plant…perhaps an herb garden or cacti.
♥   Get outside by taking a walk or having a winter picnic together.
♥   Support your local artists by visiting a gallery or attending a play.
♥   Enjoy a meal out at restaurants that use locally sourced food.
♥   If Valentine’s Day means sweets, enjoy treats from your local chocolatier or bakery.
♥   Write a heart-felt note or make a card out of reclaimed paper.
