Catholic Charities is probably one of the Church's best kept secrets. Few Catholics appreciate how much this organization does, not only in our own Diocese, but also throughout our entire country and, indeed, the entire world. Nor do many Catholics realize that Catholic Charities serves mostly non-Catholics - in fact, about 85% of the services provided are for people outside our faith. The figure is even higher than that in East Tennessee, as Sr, Mary Christine Cremin explains in this presentation. Sr. Christine serves as the Executive Director of Catholic Charities of East Tennessee, a post she has held since 2012. She describes what Catholic Charities does throughout the world, and, in particular, the wonderful work being done by CCET in our Diocese.
